Technology is advancing through sport science and exercise medicine is one of the newest creations to emerge from this growing wealth of knowledge applied to the fitness industry. 

What do they do?

The Body Train  Power Plate Vibration Machine high-tech piece of equipment transmit waves of energy throughout the body, making muscle fibres contraction between 25 and 50 times per second, enhancing the co-ordination and efficiency of both muscles and nerves in the body.

How Does It Work? 

The movement of the vibration plate simulates the body’s natural stretch reflex.  This is similar to the knee jerk reaction that occurs when the knee is tapped by a reflex hammer in a doctor’s office without thinking of it.

Precautions:

  • Please ensure no liquids near or on the machine, do not use the vibration plate while your hands are wet.
  • Do not move the vibration plate when it is running.
  • Clients with injuries please discuss with practitioner.
  • Patients with diabetes or heart problems should discuss with doctor prior to treatment.
  • Do not use vibro plate on a full stomach.
  • Please ensure you drink plenty or water before and after exercising. Do not use the vibration plate while you are eating or drinking.
  • Vibro machine cannot be used while menstruating or pregnant
  • Do not jump on the plate.
  • Only one person at a time to use the machine.
  • If you feel pain or dizziness while exercising, stop immediately and cool down.
  • At the end of your workout please stretch the muscles you have just worked to prevent injury and cramp.
  • Keep Unsupervised children away from the vibration plate at all times
  • The vibration plate should not be used by persons weighing more than 150kg
  • Wear appropriate clothing and athletic shoes when exercising: do not wear loose clothing or jewellery than may get caught in moving parts.
  • Do not use if you are recovering from an illness or injury
